Rubber Processing Promoters shortens the mixing time, prolongs the scorch time, improves the flow characteristics of the uncured compound, and serves as a dispersing agent for all fillers. Processing Additives activates the vulcanization due to its Zinc content. An addition of stearic acid is not necessary and a dosage reduction in zinc oxide is possible. With low melting range Processing Promoters is effective in natural and isoprene rubber at low mill temperature. Being rubber soluble, a homogeneous breakdown is achieved without the risk of blooming. Processing Additives has no adverse effect on rubber-to-metal bonding. It improves the storage stability, which is of particular advantage in direct vulcanization.
Used as a peptizing agent, the product should be incorporated at the beginning of the mixing cycle. As dispersant, lubricant or activator, Rubber Processing Promoters should be incorporated together with the fillers.
Dosage: NR, SBR, NBR, IR: 1-3 phr.
EPDM, EPM, HNBR: 2-3 phr.
Rubber Processing Promoters should be stored in cool and dry place. The product can be stored at least two years if storage conditions are suitable.
